Meet Twila Canion, The Creator
Hi all! I want to thank you for your interest in my natural soap and other skin care products. Here’s a little information about me, your soap making Doctor.
I’m a city girl from Detroit, Michigan. I’ve always been a book worm. I graduated valedictorian of Highland Park High School in 2010. I earned my B.S in biology from Central Michigan University in 2014 and went on to earn my DVM in 2019.
During my undergrad years, I found love for my natural hair and became more aware of the impact of what I ate and used on my skin had on my mind and body. While researching how to live healthier, I came across some information about soap making. I couldn’t believe people could really make soap at home in their kitchen! From that moment, I dedicated my extra time to learning how to make soap. In veterinary school, I learned all about skin repair/healing, allergic reactions and diseases (you’d be surprised how much information correlates with humans too!) which made me fall even more in love with soap making. I use my back ground in science to make a product that I believe in and love is always the first ingredient.
